Ken Starnes founded Ken Starnes & Associates in 1992, and has spend the last 25+ years as a software systems developer starting with DOS based Clipper and dBase III. Ken founded both the Portland Visual Basic User Group and Portland SQL Server User Group in 1994 and is still President of both Groups.
 
His experiences range from analysis, design, programming, and project management for both windows and web based applications. Ken currently serves as a dba for several clients using Microsoft SQL Server. His association with Microsoft SQL Server begin with 4.21a. Ken is active in PASS(Professional Association for SQL Server) and the National Association of Photoshop Professionals. He graduated from the University of Texas in Austin.
